Superhero Saturday  

Saturday, June 27; 4-7pm

Free with museum admission

Dress as your favorite superhero, chat with local comic book artists, fly in the bouncy house, watch Jay Piscopo – author and illustrator of The Undersea Adventures of Capt’n Eli – draw your favorite superhero, and top the day off with SUPER ice cream sundaes!

Vinyasa Yoga

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-7:30am

Starting June 23 and 25

$10 Museum Members, $12 Non-Members per 60 minute class

Proceeds benefit the Wenham Museum

Popular North Shore instructors Willa Worsfold and Kat Mansfield, lead early morning Vinyasa Yoga classes in Burnham Hall. These open level classes emphasize a balance of meditation, strength and alignment, immersing you in an inventive and thoughtful sequence of sun salutations, standing & seated asanas, back-bending and inversions. Instruction benefits all levels. Absolute beginners should contact the teachers before attending. Yoga Benefits you AND the Wenham Museum as proceeds directly support museum education programs.

Cartooning With Jay                   

Thursday, July 23; 1-3pm

Pre-registration required: $25 (non-members); $20 (members)

Author and Illustrator of The Undersea Adventures of Capt’n Eli, Jay Piscopo, offers a step-by-step comic strip drawing course for aspiring artists. Ages 7+

Storytelling through Pictures: Comic Art Workshops                

Saturdays: July 11, 18, & 25 from 9am – 12pm

Pre-registration required: $30 for a single workshop, $75 for all three

Ages 9 – 12

Junior artists create, design and draw comic book superheroes, cartoon characters, funny animals, anime, and manga with Montserrat College of Art instructor Kevin Ilacqua. Students will tour the museum's special summer exhibition, Colorful Characters: Storytelling Through Comics for inspiration from over 125 comic books, original artwork, graphic novels and collectibles.
